Early in his youth, Samson’s life took an unexpected turn when he lost his father to AIDS. His ill mother was unable to care for her children and Samson was forced to drop out of school to help support the family. Samson worked odd jobs in the streets, where he earned just six cents a day—barely enough to survive.
After enrolling with Hope’s Vocational Training Program, Samson gained skills in general metal fabrication and now works as a full-time technician. With the vocational education Samson earned from Hope Enterprises, he has been able to leave behind a life of poverty and imagine a brighter future.
