Seble

Seble

Seble lived in one of the city’s slum areas and her parents barely made a living. At the age of 16, she was unable to continue her education and placed her hope of escaping poverty by leaving home to live with her partner. She gave birth to a beautiful daughter, but soon became a single mother with no resources and no-one to support her.  She despaired, and started begging on the streets. A few long weeks later, Seble received a home visit from the Hope Enterprises team. She learned about the free vocational program and registered straight away for the three month custodial services training. She found employment in a newly opened hotel shortly after graduation - she can now afford rent and daycare for her daughter while she works. Seble is now independent and full of hope for her daughter’s future and for herself!
