How Ethiopiaid Fundraises

To raise funds, we send out regular letters (in the post and via email) giving you an update on our partners and the opportunity to make a gift. We also hold events to raise money for our projects and engage with the community on the issues facing Ethiopia today.

We find that this is the most cost effective method of fundraising. By keeping promotion and staff costs to an absolute minimum (we employ only one full-time staff member), we ensure that more of your money goes directly to where it is needed.

In the 2012 financial year, we raised $225,435 thanks to the generosity of the Canadian public. This support makes our work possible and we sincerely appreciate it!

Tax Receipts

Ethiopiaid Canada is a registered charity under the Canada Revenue Agency (BN #855016267/RR0001). We will automatically issue tax receipts for all gifts of $10 or more.
